FAQs

Can Nicole work with my existing providers?
Yes! Collaboration is at the heart of functional medicine. Nicole is happy to work alongside your current doctors and specialists so your care feels seamless and supportive. She can also take the lead in coordinating your care when that’s helpful, ensuring everyone is aligned and working toward your best health.
How is functional medicine different from traditional medicine?
Traditional medicine is like putting out fires—it’s great in emergencies and symptom management. Functional Medicine is more like detective work. Instead of just asking “How do we stop the smoke?” we ask “Why is there a fire in the first place?” We look at the root causes, connect the dots across your health history, and build a plan that doesn’t just patch things up, but helps your whole system function better.
Do you accept insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance. Functional medicine is highly personalized and focuses on root-cause care, which often falls outside the narrow, symptom-based coverage that insurance companies reimburse. Accepting insurance would limit the time, testing, and tools we can use to truly address your health. By working outside the insurance system, we’re able to provide longer visits, comprehensive support, and care that’s tailored to you—not dictated by an insurance code.
Do you offer virtual visits?
Yes—our clinic is currently fully virtual. All visits are done online through a secure video platform, so you can work with Nicole from anywhere. This makes care more accessible, flexible, and convenient without sacrificing the quality of support you receive.
How personalized is the treatment plan?
Every plan is highly individualized—no two are the same. Nicole takes into account your health history, lab work, lifestyle, and personal goals to design a plan that fits you. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach; it’s a tailored roadmap to help uncover the root causes of your symptoms and guide you toward long-term health.
